Friends and family gathered Thursday to say their final farewells to a teen killed in a motorcycle crash earlier this week.

State troopers said 16-year-old Mark Ochkie died when he crashed his motorcycle in St. Augustine on Sunday afternoon.

They said he lost control, hit a median, then hit a tree along Hefferon Drive.

His funeral service was held Thursday at Turning Point at Calvary, a church in Saint Augustine.

More than 100 mourners attended the service for Ochkie, the son of a St. Johns County deputy.

Ochkie's family has opened a memorial account at Community First Credit Union.
