Volusia County authorities say a 17-year-old boy accidentally struck and killed an elderly woman outside a Laundromat.
The crash is still under investigation, but deputies say criminal charges are not likely for the unidentified teen.
The Orlando Sentinel reports the boy was with his family at a Deltona Laundromat on Saturday when his mother told him to move the family van. Deputies say the teen's foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas, striking the 84-year-old woman. She was dragged a short distance, then struck a second time.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen was cited for driving without a license and his mother was cited for knowingly allowing an unlicensed driver to get behind the wheel.
