Tim Tebow Inspires New Sports Logo
Inventor Designs 'Broncogator' Logo, Selling Line Of Sportswear
Published On: Oct 14 2011 12:01:10 PM EDT Updated On: Jun 04 2010 08:51:56 AM EDTOne man, Tim Tebow, has become a unifying force to draw together two sports team logos to create the Broncogator logo.
Minutes after the Nease and University of Florida standout quarterback was drafted by the Denver Broncos, Ed Marlow decided to cash in on his idea of combining the two logos.
"A friend of mine called me directly after the selection and we both were talking about how ... we're both such loyal supporters of Tebow that we'll follow the team he went to," Marlow said.
Initial reaction was directly relate to team loyalty.
"Oh my God, it's awesome," a Gators fan said. "It looks so fierce, so fiery. I'd be afraid to see that in a dark alley."
"I'm a Seminole, so I hope it fails miserably," said a fan of a different persuasion.
Marlow, an Orlando-based inventor, put the new logo on a clothing line that he is selling to fans on his website.
There was no immediate word from Tebow, the Broncos or the University of Florida about their reaction Marlow's creation. The NFL and NCAA are usually highly protective of their team logos.

The logo brought up talk of Jacksonville's first NFL game of the season -- Broncos versus Jaguars -- and Tebow will be in the center of it. The originators of Broncogator gear said they're planning the world's second largest cocktail party for the Jaguars' home opener to honor Tebow's arrival.
"Knowing Tim, I doubt that'd be something he'd participate in," Marlow said of Tebow's strict Christian beliefs.. "But I've heard of virgin cocktails, which are alcohol free."
But the Sept. 12 game at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium has the potential of dividing the loyalty of local fans.
"There's probably going to be more Tebow jerseys at the home opener than Jags jerseys," a fan told Channel 4's Scott Johnson.
"It'll be like the Civil War," said another fan. "Should we go for Tebow or against Tebow? It'll divide families."
