NEW YORK -

New York Jets Quarterback Tim Tebow took time during a celebrity gala to remember a football great.

Tebow turned heads at the Costume Institute Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

While most were asking about his Ralph Lauren tuxedo, Tebow commented on the recent suicide of former N-F-L star Junior Seau.

"So many young athletes like myself looked up to him and watched him," Tebow said.

"I met him one time after he came to the Florida-Georgia game when he played then and just had the best time with him afterwards and I'm just extremely sad from him and his family and wish him support and I know I'll be praying for him."

Among those in attendance were the likes of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, Donald Trump, Hilary Swank, Brooke Shields and Jimmy Fallon.
