The trial is underway in federal court for Lydia Cladek, of St. Augustine, who's charged with wire and mail fraud, and conspiracy to commit fraud in a Ponzi scheme.
The government says the Ponzi scheme bilked investors out of $100 million.
The first witness in the case told the jury how she invested $200,000 with Cladek.
The FBI raided Cladek's business and home in 2010.
If convicted, Cladek could get up to 20 years in prison.
