CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -

The Florida Highway Patrol needs your help to find the driver of a car they believe is responsible for a crash in Green Cove Springs more than two months ago.

Troopers say 52-year-old Pat Ralph Simeloi was driving a Honda Accord south on Russell Road around 5:20 a.m. on August 9 when a witness said an oncoming vehicle crossed into Simeloi's path. They say Simeloi (pictured, below) tried to avoid a head-on collision, but ran off the road and hit a tree.

Pat Ralph Simeloi Liz Edenfield, Simeloi's girlfriend, says she lost the love of her life.

"There's nothing that anybody can tell you or do to make you feel better when you lose somebody you love, it's probably the worst thing that can ever happen to anybody." said Edenfield.

Troopers describe the car as a dark-colored mid-sized passenger car, and will not have damage as a result of the crash because the two never collided with each other.

There was no damage or debris, leaving troopers with very little to go on.

"I just don't want anybody to forget about Pat.  I don't want him to become a cold case.  somebody that dies and then you don't even know who caused the accident.  Pat was a great person he was a very special human being he doesn't deserve to be forgotten." said Edenfield.
