Good evening everyone. A grieving family gathers to remember their loved one... 14-year-old D'quan Armstrong was killed by a hit and run driver last Saturday. It happened in the early morning hours along Sibbald Road.... where D'quan was riding his bike. Police say the driver who hit him never stopped, but has been found and interviewed. No charges have been filed. Channel 4's Ashley Harding was there for tonight's viewing and has spoken with the family. She now joins us live, Ashley? 3 3 3 00-0518-29Here at the First Samuel Baptist Church, tears were shed both inside and outside as family and friends gathered to remember 14- year-old Dquan Armstrong...He was killed by a hit and run driver early Saturday morning. Some held each other for comfort, others wore t-shirts in his memory. 56:54--57:06 "He was very loved, he lived life to the fullest. He left us at 14 years old, doing nothing wrong. His life was taken from him." Police say Dquan was hit as he rode his bike here along Sibbald road shortly before 1 a-m Saturday. They say the force of the hit was so strong, that he was thrown into a nearby ditch and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the driver of the car never stopped...and was found at a nearby home. Police interviewed the driver, but so far, no charges have been filed. 59:35--59:39 "We love him and we're just trying to stay strong for him." Dquan's aunt describes him as a young man with a great sense of humor, an honor roll student, who had just started his freshman year at Wolfson. 57:25--57:39 "He was on the football team.He just loved life, he loved my kids like they were his sisters.We just have a very close family and it hurts, it hurts real bad."
