Westside Man Shot, Killed

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A man was shot and killed Tuesday night in a neighborhood near NAS Jacksonville.

The shooting happened in the 8400 block of Malaga Avenue. The victim, a man in his 60s who has not been identified as of Wednesday afternoon, was rushed to an area hospital where he died.

Police told Jennifer Bauer at the scene that a suspect was in custody, but no one was arrested.

Detectives said they believe the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute. Police were talking to the person in custody and neighbors to determine exactly what led to the violence.

Police continue to investigate the shooting.
