JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 62-year-old woman involved in a single-vehicle crash in June died Friday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said Sandra Owen was driving east on Beach Boulevard near Southside Boulevard about 9:20 p.m. June 27 when her car traveled off the roadway. It then went across a sidewalk, across a grass shoulder, struck a fire hydrant, traveled sideways in a ditch and then overturned one time, police said.

Owen was taken to a hospital.

Police said there were no indications of impact from another vehicle or reason to believe some other vehicle or driver caused Owen's actions.

She was the only person in the car.

Owen was pronounced dead Friday. Police announced her death Tuesday.
