JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 77-year-old woman was killed in a crash Friday when her car was struck by an ambulance on an emergency call, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said Anneliese Belzer was driving east on Venture Place at the intersection of the 10500 block of San Jose Boulevard in Mandarin about 12:45 p.m.

Police said a Liberty Ambulance was traveling south on San Jose and entered the intersection through a red light with all of its emergency lights activated and struck the driver's side of Belzer's car.
