Woman, 81, dies days after crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

An 81-year-old St. Johns County woman involved in a crash earlier this month died Saturday at a hospital.

Jacksonville police said Mildred Brown was driving southbound on Bartram Park Boulevard in southern Duval County just before 10 a.m. Jan. 10. Her car left the roadway and struck a tree in the median.

Brown was taken to a local hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. She died at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Police said their investigation is ongoing.
