A 73-year-old woman was killed and two people seriously injured Tuesday night in a crash on Dunn Avenue by the exit ramp of Interstate 295, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say Bessie Mae Williams, 70, was was driving a Toyota Corolla off the interstate shortly after 6 p.m. and turned into a path of a eastbound Chevrolet Cavalier driven by James Ezra Wilson, 50, on Dunn Avenue.
Alma Lynch, a passenger in Wilson's car, was pronounced dead at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center. Wilson and Williams were also transported to Shands with serious injuries, according to the FHP report.
