Police were investigating the death of a northeast Texas woman who was found dead in a tanning bed inside her home.

Rhonda Waits' boyfriend discovered her lying face down in the tanning bed early Sunday after returning from a three-day vacation, Sansom Park police told Dallas TV station KTVT.

Police said the radio was on and medications were found nearby.

There were no signs of foul play, and while investigators did not believe Waits' death was directly linked to the tanning bed, they were awaiting toxicology results to determine a cause of death, Police Chief Randy Driver said.

Family and neighbors were in shock. Her daughter told police she had no apparent health problems.

"I just couldn't believe it because, as far as we know, there nothing was wrong with her," neighbor Craig Thommason said.
