Woman hit while walking in northwest Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver who left the scene after hitting a pedestrian.
Police said a woman walking at the intersection of West 13th Street and Moncrief Road was hit by a SUV Saturday evening.
The woman was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in serious condition.
Investigators would not say if they were speaking with any witnesses and could not release any information about the SUV but did say it was an ongoing investigation.
