Woman leaves child in Wal-Mart

A Marion County mother left her baby at the front of a Wal Mart store after she tried to steal merchandise, according to Ocala police.
On Friday, a Wal-Mart employee told an officer that the woman stuffed items into her son's diaper bag and then headed for the exit.
The woman and her sister both tried to leave the store but the employee stopped them and told them to go back inside, according to police.
Then the woman handed her 1-year-old child to her sister and took off running, Marion County investigators said.
The sister broke away from the employee and ran after her sister, leaving the child behind, according to police.
A blue Ford Aerostar van picked the women up in front of the store.
Authorities arrested both of them Saturday outside of a dance club.
