A local mom learns how long she'll spend in prison - for giving her son too many drugs. He died - when he was just 3-years-old. 3 Angel Gust will spend 13 years in prison for giving her son too much Clonidine -- which is used to treat disruptive behavior. The 32-year-old was her son's primary caretaker -- while the boy's father was deployed with the Navy overseas. Channel 4's Heather Leigh joins us LIVE from the Duval County Courthouse - Heather, how did the family feel about the sentence ... 3 3 When they came out of the court room, they were visibly upset...crying. We asked to speak with them, but they said they didn't want to talk... but the defense called several of her family members, including her ex husband and some of her sisters... to talk about how she was a good mother and deserves a second chance. 3 0-534-3940-4752-57It was a painful day for family members in court as the judge told 32-year-old Angel gust she'd spend the next 13 years in jail.The defense says the pills were prescribed to Logan by his doctor to treat Oppositional Defiant Disorder...and that the doctors were not clear on the dosage...The prosecution says she purposely misused it. It say she told the Naval Criminal investigative services that she gave her son 2 or 3 pills Saturday night... 2 more Sunday morning, and then 6 more later that day.But it says when EMS got on scene, she never mentioned the medicine.SOT: Rich Mantei, Prosecution, "Did she mention anything about Clonidine, anything about giving him too many pills, or pills or anything?
