JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are investigating a deadly shooting that took place at an Eastside apartment Saturday night.

Officers responded to the scene along East Lincoln Court around 7 p.m. and found 30-year-old Katrina Wilcox suffering from one gunshot wound.

Police transported Wilcox to the hospital where she later died.

Police said they believe the shooting stemmed from an altercation that happened during a gathering at the apartment. They believe several people were inside the home playing dice.

Police have not made any arrests.
