AAA offices in Florida are giving away free child booster seats to help parents meet the requirements of a state law that went into effect Jan. 1.
The new rules require children between 4 and 8 years old, weighting 30 to 110 pounds and 40 to 57 inches tall to be secured in booster seats when in a car with parents.

AAA said car crashes remain a leading cause of death among children.
You do not have to be a member of AAA to receive a booster seat but your child need to be with you to qualify for one of a limited supply that will be given away first-come, first-served.
AAA suggests you call individual offices to verify they still have the boosters.
