Abandoned home up in flames again

CCFR: Difficult to tell how much damage done, home heavily damaged from previous fire

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a fire, after a home went up in flames in Middleburg Monday morning.

Sometime before 7:30 a.m. firefighters with Clay County Fire Rescue were called to 1924 Gentlebreeze Road near Friendly Place in reference to a house fire.

When firefighters arrived, they quickly extinguished the fire at an abandoned home.

Firefighters said the home had caught fire before and was already badly burned, so it's difficult for CCFR to tell how much damage was done during the most recent fire.

The State Fire Marshal is on scene investigating the cause of the fire.

No one was injured during the fire.
