The report said Cone left his Mandarin apartment Monday morning, telling his girlfriend that he was going to pick up his paycheck.

Around 10:30 a.m., Cone walked into the SunTrust, approached a teller and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said. Cone did not say anything, and was given an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Police said Cone did not threaten anyone and that no customers were in the bank at the time.

Cone returned to his apartment with a large amount of cash, but the girlfriend didn't think anything of it until she saw him on surveillance images released to news outlets by the sheriff's office, police said.

According to the arrest report, she confronted Cone, and he admitted robbing the bank, saying they needed the money. He took some pills, and she called 911, police said.

Cone was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Police searched his apartment and found the demand note used in the hold-up, some cash, and the shirt he wore during the robbery, the report said.
