Jacksonville police look for 2 shooters in white car

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An adult and a child are in stable condition after being shot Friday night while sitting in front of home in Northwest Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called out to a home on West 25th Street just after 11 p.m. Friday. 

The victims told officers they were sitting on the porch of their home when a white car stopped in front of the house and two men fired several gunshots from inside the car.

One of the victims was hit in the torso, and the other in the leg.  They ran inside as quickly as they could. 

The two victims are recovering at UF Health Jacksonville. 

A neighbor who disn't want to be identified tells News4Jax she was in her home when her children ran inside before the shooting started.

"I'm like, 'no, ya'll' because they play tricks on me sometimes. But I'm like, no. And she had blood on her hand and then I said, oh my God. Something has happened. So I'm trying to put clothes on to see what was going on," the neighbor said.
