Woman who disappeared from Hannah Park found in Georgia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office say a 73-year-old woman who drove off while her family was at Hannah Park on Tuesday was found later in Georgia.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the Orlando resident arrived in town to visit family. Officers said Glenda Broome Reeder went to Hannah Park on Wednesday morning with family members but elected to stay in the vehicle while others visited the beach area. Upon return to check on the woman, she and the listed vehicle were nowhere to be found.

A witness at the beach saw the woman drive herself away from the area. 

Police were told Reeder has been diagnosed with dementia and issued a Silver Alert.

Early Thursday morning police said Reeder was located in Georgia in good condition and reunited with family members.
