JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 24-year-old man driving on a suspended license hit and killed a 58-year-old pedestrian Wednesday morning on Atlantic Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Larry F. Anderson was not in an intersection or crosswalk and died at the scene, police said.

Robert View, who was driving the pickup truck involved in the crash, had his license suspended after an Aug. 16 DUI arrest, police said. He had a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the truck, and police also found a device called The Whizzinator. The device is filled with a clean sample of urine, in case the owner has to submit to a urine test.
View, who stopped after the crash and cooperated with police, is charged with driving on a suspended license, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
"It sounded like a piece of furniture, and then I looked over and I saw this man sliding down the road," said Timothy Forbes, who saw the accident happen. "It was just …my prayers go out to his family. It's such a bad thing. This man got hit and now, who knows? Maybe he had kids. Maybe he had a wife. Now they're not going to see him today."
According to his DUI arrest report, View was spotted by Atlantic Beach police weaving in and out of traffic, going 71 mph in a 45 mph zone. He also had a small amount of marijuana in his truck then, the report said.
