FOREST PARK, Ga. – Georgia authorities cancel the Amber Alert for 17-month old Annya Buchannon after she was found in a suburb of Atlanta just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities issued the alert after the child was taken around midnight from the Playskool day care located at 887 Conley Road in Forest Park, Georgia a suburb of Atlanta.  Police say the child was in the back seat of a 1994 green Honda Accord that was stolen from outside the center.

The suspect of the theft was described as a black man, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing dark pants, dark grey vest over a black shirt and a black stocking or skull cap on his head.

The GBI was immediately notified in reference to issuing an Amber Alert for the missing child.

The child was found safe and she was reunited with her mother. Police say a resident who heard about the Amber Alert called police to tell them they had seen a similar vehicle.

Police found the missing car parked at Scott Drive and Holly Circle in Forest Park. Annya was sleeping in the backseat.
