William Donovan Saunders, 21, was charged with unlawful disposal of body of a dead animal after police say he left a dead cat hanging on a cross at Real Life Church on Steve Road in February.

Clermont police said it was an employee who found the cat on the west side of the building along with the message, "Thou shalt not make my father's house a den of thieves read Matthew 7:3 ye hypocrites."

It was written on one of the sticks used to make the cross.

Saunders was booked into Lake County jail.
