Bank of America building evacuated by envelope

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The mailroom at the Bank of America complex at 9000 Southside Blvd. was evacuated for a few hours Wednesday afternoon after the mail room received an envelope an employee thought was suspicious.

"They received an envelope with a blank piece of paper that had suspicious smudges or stains on it," said Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. Ron Bilyew. "Employees deemed the stains to be suspicious, and as part of their protocol, contacted the Sheriff's Office."
