Beaver Street to be Reconstructed

Once known as Enterprise Street, during the early 20th century, it was a busy industrial hub anchored by rail yards, slaughterhouses, foundries, naval store yards and manufacturing plants.

Today, unlike many areas of town that have been around for over a century, it still lives on. However, a cluster of buildings and industries developed during a different period leaves it with an architectural blend and market-style atmosphere that is unique to Jacksonville's urban core.
