Black Friday insider tips

Word on the street is that the Black Friday shopping extravaganza is now going to start on Thursday. That's right. Last year, several stores opened for the holiday season on Thanksgiving day at 6pm, after the family dinner. But this year, some stores are opening before breakfast!

So much for spending the holiday at home. Now shoppers will be spending their cash on Thanksgiving Day. Kmart is opening at 8am. Walmart will open early too, but the big sales don't begin until 6pm. Best Buy is expected to start their sales at 6pm too.

To help you get the most for your money turn to your cell phone for these deal saving apps. Amazon's Price Check app allows you to scan bar codes on popular products and instantly get a price comparison on your phone.

The Red Laser app looks for coupon codes online. And the Black Friday app allows you to look at leaked and confirmed Black Friday ads.

Check out the Smoopa app which allows you to scan the bar code on products, but it then gives you a green light if you should buy, a yellow light if you should look into other options and a red light if you are getting ripped off.
