JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A body washed up on Little Talbot Island on Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Officials said they're not sure if the body is that of a missing swimmer from Huguenot Park on Saturday evening.

A boat was also found washed up on the beach Monday near where the body was found. Officials said it may be that the boat had been there for several days from an unrelated incident.

The body was found about a mile north of Huguenot. It was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office, which has not yet released an identity.

Two swimmers became distressed Saturday evening and one went missing under water, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The other was hospitalized after being pulled to safety by a third person.
