BP gas station robber sought by police

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police in Jacksonville are trying to identify a man they said robbed a BP gas station Friday morning.

Investigators said the man went into the convenience store at 13457 Atlantic Blvd. just before 7 a.m. and showed a rifle to the clerk, pointing it at the register as if to indicate he wanted money.

After the robber obtained cash, he fled the store on foot and was last seen entering a silver four-door vehicle, police said.
