What do you see as the top three issues in this race?

  • Returning Civility to the Clay County School Board: I will work as a team with my fellow board members and the Superintendent to build a consensus on the many issues we face. I will be responsive to those I represent and respectful to those I serve with.
  • Improving Student Achievement: We need to regain our status as one of Florida's top ten school districts and return to an "A" district.
  • Addressing Budget Issues: Florida requires school districts maintain a 3% fund balance. Clay County is now at 2.3%. We must work to replenish our mandatory 3% reserve fund to be in compliance.
