Water back on after main break in Mandarin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Part of Marbon Road near San Jose Boulevard was closed and water was restored to 55 homes after a water main was broken during construction Friday evening. 

According to JEA, a contractor working off of Marbon Road in Mandarin hit and broke open an 8-inch pipe, affecting homes in the Cormorant Creek Estates neighborhood.

JEA said that they had isolated the break and were working on repairing the damage. 55 homes in the area were without water for a few hours.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was on the scene to help with traffic which was down to one lane at the time.
