Burglar takes spear guns from Southside dive shop

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police hope surveillance video from a smash-and-grab burglary of a Southside business helps them catch the thief.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office asking  the community's assistance in identifying a burglary suspect that struck on Jacksonville's Southside.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a man seen on the video threw what appeared to be a large rock through the window of First Coast Divers on University Boulevard West in the early morning hours of July 24. Once inside, the burglar is seen taking three spear guns before exiting the same way he came in, then running from the area.

Police said the burglar appears to be a white man with tattoos on both arms and under his chin, as well as distinct, long chin hair.
