Causes of death released in boaters' deaths

2 killed when boat struck dock in St. Augustine

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Medical Examiner's Office has released the cause of death of two boaters killed when their boat crashed into a dock in St. Augustine last month.

Franklin "Tim" Babb, 52, died from blunt force injuries to the head and neck, while Warren "Christopher" Hall (pictured below with his mother, 52, drowned, according to the Medical Examiner.

Their blood toxicology results are not yet known.

Alicia Babb, 50, was seriously injured in the crash. UF Health Jacksonville had no update on her condition.

The boaters were traveling south of the Bridge of Lions about 10 p.m. May 26 when their boat hit a dock connected to a home in the Pelican Reef neighborhood.

All three were thrown from the boat on impact.
