City closes Huguenot Park for over-crowding

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city has closed Huguenot Memorial Park from noon until 5 p.m. because the beach is at maximum capacity for high tide.

Huguenot Park is the only beach in Duval County that allows visitors to drive on to the beach, and it gets crowded on holidays.

Closures happen regularly when the tide is high at the park, because it doesn't leave much beach.
