KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. – A Clay County man is charged with second-degree murder after the shooting death of his son Monday afternoon in a Green Cove Springs home, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Dana Peterson, 68, was arrested Wednesday, two days after 45-year-old John A. Peterson was killed in the family's home on White Sands Road.

According to the arrest report, Peterson called 911 just after 1 p.m. to say his son was lying near the garage, and he didn't know if he was alive. Within minutes, deputies had arrived and Clay County Fire-Rescue found the younger man dead.
Peterson was booked into the Clay County Jail and ordered held without bond.
