WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE TOP THREE ISSUES IN THIS RACE?

  • "Fiscal Accountability - In these economic conditions, we need to make sure our $320 million budget is used effectively.
  • "Academic Excellence - While striving for academic excellence and providing opportunities for those students going to college, we also must provide opportunities for those not going to college. We should better develop our relationships with business leaders to determine what is needed for high school graduates to be productive as they enter the workforce.
  • "Teacher and Principal Accountability - Strive to keep the best teachers and principals while attracting the best college graduates to be new teachers. Holding the educational staff, including principals, to the high academic standards for which our system is known."

  • HOW CAN YOU HELP VOTERS IN A WAY THAT OTHERS RUNNING FOR THIS OFFICE CANNOT?

    • "With my background in business and law in both the public and private sectors, I will use my experience to move our school district forward.

"While serving in the U.S. Army and Florida Army National Guard, I learned the value of hard work and the dedication required to stand up for what I believe in. I worked in the Clay County school system for over five years from teacher to government relations coordinator and understand the work our employees perform.

"While in private practice now, I was also the juvenile prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office in Clay County. I have seen the results of a limited education on our teenagers.

"I will use my business background to strengthen our schools and make Clay County Schools the best they can possibly be."

WHAT WOULD YOU HOPE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR ACCOMPLISHING AFTER SERVING IN THIS OFFICE?

    • "Providing leadership in the areas of academics, fiscal responsibility, and business partnership development while never losing focus on doing what is best for the education of our children."
