Cline pleads guilty to misdemeanor battery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Robert Cline has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery for a fight that ended in the death of Ryan Ford in January 2013.

Christopher Hoffman, 26, was convicted of felony battery earlier this year in connection with the beating death of Ford at a Mandarin bonfire. Hoffman (pictured above) was sentenced to five years in prison.

Cline claimed he threw one punch in self-defense and that Ford (pictured below) was the aggressor.

Cline's lawyer filed a Stand Your Ground petition, but that was never heard.

Cline was sentenced to six months house arrest. He can be at his house and go to work and to church. He also got 12 months probation. He is not to have any alcohol, drugs or weapons of any sort. He must perform 200 hours of community service and take anger management class.
