AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard responded Wednesday to a shrimp vessel that was taking on water off the coast of Fernandina Beach.
Petty Officer 1st Class Stephen Lehmann said three people were on board and the vessel was about four miles off Amelia Island. He said no injuries were reported and the people on board had life jackets.

The rescue crew had an extra pump to help with damage control as the crew on the shrimp vessel attempted to figure out where the water was coming in from.
