Four men competed in the August primary to be Columbia County's next superintendent of schools and the two who received the most votes -- Terry L. Huddleston and Glenn J. Hunter -- will meet again in the General Election.

Glenn J. Hunter


AGE:  57

EDUCATION:  University of Florida, B.S. degree in chemistry, P.B. degree in recreation

    • "I hope to be remembered by the employees that felt their jobs contributed to the success of the Columbia County School District in reaching its goal to be in the top 10 in the state of Florida. Also, that the administrative team was ready to assume the same level of management as the successful retiring Superintendent."

    OCCUPATION:  Current principal at Columbia High School

    EDUCATION:  Graduate of Columbia High School; bachelor of science in education, Valdosta State College; master of science, K-12 educational leadership, Nova University
