3 Tonight, dozens of neighbors in a Downtown apartment complex say they're WITHOUT WORKING WATER ... According to them, nothing is being done about it. It's the Senior Citizen Village Apartment complex on Davis and 4th street. People who live there say this has been going on for as long as three weeks. They say they've complained to management, but have gotten nowhere. Channel 4's Ashley Harding joins us now live from the complex with more on how these people are coping? 3 3 3 3 18-2346-51Diane Williams tries the faucet in her kitchen, but nothing is coming out. She can't wash her clothes in the washer....and her neighbors are having to preserve what they're able to get pots...and in buckets... ///nats of slight water dripping from bathtub// She says this has been going on for almost FOUR weeks.05:31--05:42 "I had to go down the street just now and get me three gallons of water just to flush my toilet. This is unsanitary. These people own these buildings. They're not trying to do what they're supposed to do." TRACK Neighbors tell News4jax that as many as 36 units have been impacted. They say management gave them a notice last week saying the water would Be shut off for repairs....but HAVE YET TO HEAR WHEN THOSE REPAIRS WILL BE COMPLETE.Jones says management has been giving him the runaround."Everybody around here. We've been complaining to the office about the water. They tell me they've got to wait for a part to get here. But they never got the part yet." Until they get the answers neighbors are left wondering how MUCH LONGER THEY'LL HAVE TO IMPROVISE."If ya'll can't get it out there and somebody can't get in there and make the owners do what they're supposed to do.... Then what will you all...attorney? We've got to keep toting water or go to a relative's house to take a bath.Get you to cook you a decent meal? What alternatives have we got?" Ashley, what about JEA?
