Couple sought in St. Augustine car burglaries

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – St. Johns County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man and woman Friday, wanted in connection with several car burglaries that happened in the Matanzas Inlet parking lot on A1A south last month.

According to deputies, the couple went through the parking lot breaking windows and removing valuables on May 28 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Deputies released surveillance photos of the two individuals after they used a credit card stolen during the burglaries at a WalMart in St. Augustine.

Anyone with information about the identities of the couple is asked to call Detective Jeff Carroll at the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office at 904-209-3984.

People with information can also call CrimeStoppers of northeast Florida at 888-277-TIPS, where they can remain anonymous and be eligible for a possible cash reward.
