Man taken into custody after I-95 crash

No one hurt after car overturns

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was taken into custody after a vehicle overturned on Interstate 95 at J. Turner Butler Boulevard on Thursday morning.

Before 6:45 a.m. a crash occurred on I-95 southbound at JTB. A car overturned, blocking two lanes on I-95 for hours.

No one was injured in the crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

State troopers said Rocky West, 32, of Orange Park, was driving south in the inside lane and swerved into the center lane, striking the rear corner of a tow truck. West's car then overturned and slid on its roof.

West was taken into custody on charges of driving with a license suspended or revoked.

The roadway was reopened about 8 a.m.
