Man hurt in Arlington crash

Kevin Lindsey, 21, airlifted to hospital

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was critically injured in a crash in the Arlington area early Wednesday morning.

Kevin Lindsey, 21, was driving northbound on the Southside Connector about 2:30 a.m.  For unknown reasons, Lindsey lost control while making a curve north of Merrill Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The car began to flip on an embankment. Lindsey was ejected from the car and airlifted to a local hospital with critical injuries.

Interstate 295 near Merrill Road and the Southside Connector was closed for several hours Wednesday morning while FHP conducted its investigation.  It reopened shortly after 6 a.m.
