ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A woman is in serious condition Saturday after she was thrown from her car in St. Johns County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Just before 4 a.m., Ohara Peavey, 21, was driving north on County Road 13A (Pacetti Road), and when she approached Stanley Drive, she ran off the road and onto the grass shoulder, officials said. When Peavey tried to steer back onto the road, the car overturned and she was thrown from the car, officials said.

Peavey was taken to Orange Park Medical Center with serious injuries, officials said.
County Road 13A remained open during the investigation, and there were no traffic delays.
