Man convicted in 2015 bank robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 40-year-old man was found guilty of robbery this week in connection with a 2015 case.

In October 2015, Charles James  Skolnick entered the Centerstate Bank on King Street and approached one of the bank tellers.

Skolnick then handed the teller a note stating that he was robbing the bank and demanded $100 bills. After the teller gave him some cash, Skolnick fled the scene.

Skolnick now faces up to 30 years in prison as a habitual felony offender and prison release re-offender. He will be sentenced the week of July 18.
