JFRD sources say the situation is under control and no injuries were reported. Students were able to return to their classrooms around 8:30 a.m.

The school is at the intersection of Hammond Boulevard and Crystal Springs Road, just north of Herlong Airport. News4Jax just spoke with a woman who lives right next to the school and she says students are being evacuated and Hammond Boulevard is closed right in front of the school.

A mother who was dropping her son off this morning also tells News4Jax that when she arrived at the school, teachers and students were in the parking lot as JFRD was on scene.
