Driver killed in Keystone Heights crash

1 dead; 1 taken to hospital; accident shuts down State Road 21 for hours

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. – A 21-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on State Road 21 just south of Gold Head State Park in Keystone Heights, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A Honda, a Grand Marquis and a dump-truck were involved in the crash.

FHP reports the driver of the Honda, 21-year-old Robert Clay Davis, died.

Another driver was transported to UF Health in Gainesville with non-life-threatening injuries. The third driver was not injured.

The accident shut down State Road 21 for hours, but all lanes reopened about 11:45 a.m.

Drivers were re-routed to County Road 352 until the accident cleared.
