"I swear sports and music is so synonymous, because we want to be them and they want to be us."

Rapper, Aubrey "Drake" Graham was spot on with that line.

Just check the stats  - Allen Iverson, Chris Webber, Tony Parker, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant have all dabbled in the music industry. And while nearly all of those great basketball players failed to scored big in the music industry - an up-and-coming hooper hopes to change that.

Sacramento Kings Forward, DeMarcus "Boogie" Cousins is releasing an R&B album entitled Misunderstoood. His moniker - Boogie Smooth. The lead single is called "Emotional" and it features a guest appearance from Chance the Rapper. The album also includes a song called "Big Fellas" featuring well-respected Miami rapper, Rick Ross.

Right now - the album does not have a release date. We'll have to wait and see if DeMarcus breaks the cycle and delivers in the studio as well as he does on the court.
