New research shows that there are benefits to taking a nap.
The Daily Mail reports that scientists say it depends on the length of the nap to see benefits.
Experts suggest taking a short nap, or snooze for about 90 minutes.
Scientists say taking a 10- to 20-minute nap allows a person to enter REM sleeping. Plus a 10- to 20-minute nap will allow a person to not have to worry about being groggy when they wake up.
With a 90-minute nap a person actually completes the sleep cycle. The hour and a half of shut eye also helps improve memory and creativity. When a person wakes up after 90 minutes he or she won't have to worry about feeling confused.
Experts say that sleeping between 30 minutes to an hour isn't good. Scientists say what happens is you wake up feeling more tired.
